Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) said, we are excited to announce the first-ever South African edition of our program, From Mine to Finger – A deep dive into the World of Diamonds. This edition will provide a fresh and unique perspective on the diamond industry, whilst still highlighting Antwerp’s role in the global diamond pipeline.
To make the program accessible to students who lack the financial resources to participate, we are introducing the Adopt-a-Student program. By sponsoring a student’s participation, you not only support their education but also position your company as a champion of knowledge and industry development.
To prepare students for the program, we have online modules which can be completed at their own pace. The in-person classes will take place from February 5 to 14, 2024, at and around the GIBS Business School in Johannesburg, South Africa. The program includes visits to a mine, studying artisanal and small-scale mining operations by those who operate them, and guests’ lectures from industry experts and veterans.
