The National Trading Company of Angolan Diamonds, Sodiam E.P bid this Friday, at auction, with 20 special stones from rough diamond productions of the Mining Societies of Lulo, Somiluana, Chitotolo, Uari and Kaixepa… The total net value raised from the bidding was around 17 million dollars with the sale of 636.28 carats of the stones mentioned above.
The evaluation sessions took place from the 11th to the 18th of this month, at the facilities of Sodiam E.P in Luanda, and the bids were submitted via electronically on the online platform www.transatlanticgemsales.com, until 10:00 am today, April 19, 2024.
All stones presented for auction were sold, generating following results in terms of revenue: Sociedade Mineira do Lulo (10.5 Million USD), Sociedade Mineira do Somiluana (1.4 Million USD), Society Mineira do Chitotolo (778 thousand USD), Sociedade Mineira do Uari (614 thousand USD) and Sociedade Mineira do Kaixepa (3.6 Million USD).
A total of 29 companies participated in the auction, representing the main world diamond centers and squares. It should be emphasized that the current auction format generates greater transparency and competitiveness to the commercialization process, within the scope of implementation and compliance with the guidelines of Presidential Decree 175/18 of 27 July.
