Sotheby’s Fine Jewels & Watches auction!

Sotheby’s Milan, has announces auction of Fine Jewels & Watches that has begun from October 11 & now will go to final hammer on October 25, 2023. Highlighted here is the Power of Red! Rubies are some of the most sought-after coloured gemstones in the market. As colour dominates the world of jewels, they are considered as extremely desirable gemstones.

This is in part due to the limited supply of high quality unheated stones but also because of the historical associations with Imperial splendor in Europe as well as passion and luck in Asian cultures. Yes, focussing here is; Petochi, Ruby and diamond ring (Anello con rubino e diamanti, Petochi) from the lots’ of Fine Jewels & Watches!

Set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 3.58 carats approximately, between step-cut diamond shoulders, unsigned, accompanied by case stamped Petochi, ring size 53. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 117092 and Gübelin report no. 22040019, each stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.

Estimate to raise between EUR 100,000 to EUR 150,000.

Sotheby’s Milan presents its Fine Jewels & Watches; Fine Jewelry sale, featuring an exclusive selection of noble jewels, alongside pieces from the most prestigious Italian jewelry atelier such as Buccellati, Bulgari, Marina B and French creations from Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Among these jewels, watches from different periods signed by Piaget, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet.
