All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), the national apex body of the gems and jewellery industry, organised the NJA’23 Screening Jury Round on Monday, 4th September 2023, at IMC Chambers, Churchgate, Mumbai, for the 12th edition of the National Jewellery Awards (NJA), scheduled to take place on 1st October 2023, in Mumbai. NJA is GJC’s endeavour to stimulate industry growth and is considered the ultimate platform to inspire and recognize the true talent among GJC’s valued members and associates.
The NJA’23 Screening Jury Round hosted prominent industry personalities and veterans who have revolutionized the jewellery industry with modern and artistic designs, successfully propelling the industry to new heights. The NJA’23 Screening Jury Round include personalities such as Mr Laksh Pahuja, Mr Anand Shah, Ms Gunjan Suri, Ms Nirupa Bhatt, Ms Indra Jadwani, Ms Kalyani Deshpande, Ms Meher Castelino, Mr Gautam Banerjee, Ms Prerna Makharia, Ms Nehal Shah, Ms Sushama Kalzunkar Sawant, and Ms Anshu Gandhi.
NJA is the industry’s biggest and widest award show, recognizing all sectors of the industry and providing a platform to discover talent in the field. Known for its commitment to craftsmanship, dedication, and motivation within the industry, NJA is appreciated and encouraged for its role in stimulating growth and creativity. The 12th edition of NJA is being judged by a panel of renowned industry experts. It offers an excellent platform for all aspiring jewellers who want to make it big in the field of jewellery.
This year, NJA introduced new categories and received a record-breaking 733 entries. The awards comprise six segments with 34 sub-categories, celebrating excellence in the entire jewellery industry, including students, designers, stores, women entrepreneurs, and special honours like the prestigious Anmol Ratna Award, promoting the entire Gems & Jewellery Industry value chain.

The selection is not easy as it involves a substantial number of participants from the various sectors of the gems and jewellery value chain.”
