Family-owned luxury Jewellers, Laings, has today re-opened its doors from its existing location to its new luxury showroom in Westquay shopping centre in Southampton. The elegant 9,000-square-foot showroom, formally occupied by Victoria’s Secret, provides a reimagined luxury experience in the centre of Westquay.
The newly-developed store, which had a £3 million pound investment, is headed up by its existing team of Watch, Jewellery and service personnel. Laings has also added additional team members for the Southampton store through its successful local recruitment drive earlier this year.
The large-scale expansion of the business’ footprint follows the leading jewellers’ plans for a £10 million investment to elevate and expand its showrooms throughout the UK, including Edinburgh, Cardiff, and its future flagship in Glasgow.
The talented team of professionals are led by Store Manager Andy Andreou, who has been with the company for the past 6 years who started his Laings journey as an Assistant Manager. To officially open the store, Sheriff of Southampton, Councillor Dave Shields, participated in the grand ribbon-cutting ceremony, which offered a first glimpse into the new showroom.
The Southampton showroom is more than triple the size of the previous store in the city. Clients can now explore the extensive new location, home to a range of some of the world’s most prestigious watch and Jewellery brands, including Patek Philippe, Rolex and Faberge, all exclusive to the Southampton store.
