Hon’ble Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Textiles and Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Piyush Goyal, held a review of the redevelopment projects at Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ), Mumbai on Sunday 5th March. The minister also launched SEEPZ’s new website (www.seepz.gov.in) with enhanced features for a seamless user interface.
The Mega CFC in SEEPZ is one of the key projects initiated by the Department of Commerce at a cost of Rs 70.76 crores, with GJEPC as the nodal body for running of the project to enhance the capacity of the industry in manufacturing products utilising cutting-edge technology to provide and impart training and skilling facilities thereof to boost gems and jewellery exports from the country.
