Insightful evening during BDW 2023

2Z8A7301GIA Alumni Collective, Mumbai Chapter hosted an insightful evening in which the attendees were enthralled by a conversation with Avnish Anand, CEO-CaratLane. The event, held at the Bharat Diamond Bourse, during the Bharat Diamond Week, brought together GIA alumni from diverse backgrounds and was followed by a networking meet.

The highlight of the evening was the engaging conversation between Avnish Anand and Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director– Education and Market Development, GIA India. This candid and insightful discussion delved into the evolving trends in the jewellery industry, the challenges and opportunities faced by gem and jewellery professionals and how CaratLane has harnessed technology to offer a unique and customer-centric shopping experience.

Attendees were also treated to a rare opportunity to gain valuable insights into Avnish’s journey from Ranchi, Jharkhand; his college days at Indian Statistical Institute to being the first employee at CaratLane and more.
