International institute of Gemology IIG was delighted to be a part of the 3rd edition of GJS India Gem & Jewellery Show, a grand business-to-business expo #HumaraApnaShow from 7th to 10th April 2023. The show was inaugurated by the Honourable Speaker Shri Rahul Narwekar.
The show catered to the rise in demands after Gudipadwa and before Akshay Tritiya, followed by the wedding season. Key Highlights of the GJS 2023 were:
1) Over 750+ booths and 450+ manufacturers/whole-sellers/dealers comprising Gold, Diamond, Platinum Silver Jewellery, Couture Jewellery, loose diamond and colour stones, machinery, technology, packing material and allied exhibited.
2) The show attracted more than 15,000 visitors.
3) Visitors and exhibitors enjoyed complimentary meals.
4) IDT Gemological Laboratories Worldwide presented GJC NITE 2023 with different brands showcasing their jewellery and ramp walk with Bollywood celebrities.
IIG also launched 3 new Gem World essentials Hybrid Mode programs Big 3, Big 5 and Navratnam (call us to know more).
IIG to launch the hybrid courses organised a fun play and win the game with Gemstones. The game was to correctly identify the gemstones and match them with their corresponding gem names. The winners were awarded scholarships. Many visitors and exhibitors enthusiastically participated in the game and many of them won the scholarship.
IIG booth was visited by notable dignitaries of the Gems and Jewellery Industry. Each of them was in an exuberant mood and encouraged IIG as an education institute which boosted the morale of the IIG team.
People from all over India and the world visited the IIG booth. They enquired about the various education programs imparted. We were happy to enrol enquiries for our Education Programs on the spot.
The highlight of the GJS show 2023 was Mr Rahul Desai, CEO and Managing Director of IIG was felicitated by Rajesh Bajaj from Heera Zhaveraat for his tremendous effort in mentoring the new generation of the Gem and Jewellery industry.
Another feather on IIG’s cap as our student Dhanashree Narkhede won the prestigious JewelBuzz Iconic Awards in the Most Innovative Jewellery Design category. This was the first edition of the JewelBuzz Iconic Awards and marked the celebration of JewelBuzz’s seven successful years of spreading the buzz in the jewellery industry. The event was graced by stalwarts from the industry like Shiv Narayan Jewellers It was followed by a grand fashion show and felicitation evening of celebration, entertainment and networking.
The 4-day event ended on a very positive note and we look forward to many more GJS shows and awards.

The students showed great enthusiasm in visiting the GJS show, as they came from all over India like Nagpur, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur to name a few including some from foreign countries like Saudi Arabia. IIG is dedicated to imparting education to all, even physically challenged students who have immense potential and spark to grow in this industry.
The student delegation visited many prominent brands to gain real-world knowledge of the Gems and Jewellery Industry. IIG has collaborated with notable companies and the students were able to visit their stalls.
The student artwork and designs were showcased at the IIG to boost their morale and we are confident that our students will achieve success in their future endeavours and develop fruitful careers in the Gems and Jewellery.
