Surat, a global hub for diamond trading and home to the impressive Surat Diamond Bourse, plays a pivotal role in the gem & jewellery landscape. Discussions during the summit will be led by Vipul Bansal, Joint Secretary in India’s Department of Commerce, focusing on the future prospects of gems and jewelry trade with the UAE.

Tapan Ray, Group CEO of GIFT City in Gandhinagar, will also contribute significantly to the discussions. GIFT City, Gujarat International Finance Tech-City, is being positioned by the state government as a prominent international financial services center.
