Endiama undertaken expanding value chain
Angola and Namibia announces Cooperation
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy of the Republic of Namibia, Kornelia Shilunga, said, in Luanda, that the cooperation protocol in the mining sector signed by Angola and Namibia last April, will bring benefits reciprocal for both countries.
Kornelia Shilunga was speaking at the end of her visit to Endiama-EP, where she met with the chairman of the Board of Directors of the national diamond company, Ganga Júnior, to find out about the technical aspects linked to the memorandum that is already in operation.
The official praised, on the other hand, the efforts that Endiama’s management has undertaken to expand its value chain and to diversify the economy, which could guarantee greater sustainability to its projects.
Deputy Minister Kornelia Shilunga recalled that this cooperation covers several areas of action, namely legislative reform, training and development of common projects in the field of mining.
The executive director of Endiama-EP, Ana Feijó, highlighted Namibia’s experience in the exploration of diamonds at sea, and said that this was the path that Angola should follow in the future.
