The World Federation of Diamond Bourses applauds the Young Diamantaires upon becoming an independent non-profit organization. Established in 2016 as an informal group under the umbrella of the WFDB, by then WFDB Promotion Committee Chairman Rami Baron, YD has taken the official step of becoming a non-profit industry association.
WFDB President Yoram Dvash said, “We are very proud of the progress and development of the Young Diamantaires, who have proven to be a dynamic and dedicated force promoting the future of the diamond and jewelry industries.
We commend Rami Baron for his vision and drive in creating the YD. The WFDB has worked hand in hand with the YDs and today three of our bourse presidents – London, South Africa and Australia – are members of YD. We see this as a vote of confidence for the industry and we look forward to continuing to collaborate with the YDs, to the benefit of all.”
Dvash added that he had invited the Young Diamantaires to attend the WFDB Presidents’ Meeting in New York in June. “We are excited that they are interested in attending and we look forward to welcoming a large delegation of YD’s,” Dvash said.
