Assael, North America’s premier source for magnificent pearls and exquisite coral, explored the evocative storytelling power of color with captivating new designs in Natural Conch Pearls, as well as new additions to its popular NatureScapes and Colors collections.
These new jewels featured rare pearls, such as conchs, or unusual, lesser-known gemstones such as dendritic agate, various types of jasper, petrified wood, mabe pearls, and more. The new styles debuted recently at The Couture Show in Las Vegas. In addition, a new capsule collection of pearl jewelry for men also made its debut.
“We had been exploring color in our designs for several years, celebrating the vast array of colorful undertones in the magnificent and deep Assael pearl inventory. Our latest designs went beyond color, really capturing the storytelling quality of some of the patterns we find in natural gems,” said Peggy Grosz, senior vice president and creative director at Assael.
“We capitalized on the landscapes within dendritic agates, jaspers, and petrified wood to evoke emotions and/or stories. We also used diamonds to bring out the porcelaneous sheen in rare natural conch pearls or included mother-of-pearl and mabe pearls to highlight the natural process of pearl formation itself. It was exciting and more importantly, it felt very personal – each customer reacted to these one-of-a-kind gems in their own unique way.”
Assael’s extensive inventory of fine and gem quality pearls included natural non-nacreous pearls such as pink Conch pearls. Grosz combined some of the rare, finer specimens of pink conch pearls with diamonds, aquamarines, and conch mother-of-pearl in beautiful new statement rings.
