IMG 7474Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), in association with the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), successfully organized an exclusive awareness and outreach session on the Maharashtra Gems & Jewellery Policy 2025. The event featured an engaging and insightful interaction with Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (IAS), Development Commissioner (Industries), Government of Maharashtra whose forward-looking perspective offered industry stakeholders a comprehensive understanding of the policy’s objectives, benefits, and long-term implications for Maharashtra’s gem and jewellery sector.

The session commenced with Mr. Mehul Shah, Vice president of BDB, warmly welcoming the esteemed guest and attendees. He highlighted the importance of such dialogues in bridging industry needs with progressive government initiatives.

IMG 7429During the interaction, Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (IAS) underscored the Government of Maharashtra’s dedication to positioning the state as a global powerhouse in the gems and jewellery domain. He elaborated on the policy’s emphasis on strengthening exports, upgrading infrastructure, fostering skill development, and promoting innovation-led growth.

Leaders and members from BDB appreciated the government’s proactive approach and reaffirmed their support for broad adoption of the policy. The session encouraged valuable feedback, new opportunities, and alignment on a shared vision for the industry’s sustainable growth.

He reaffirmed the collective resolve to work collaboratively toward a brighter and more competitive future for Maharashtra’s gems and jewellery ecosystem.
