An international exhibition showcasing jewelry machinery will commence in Dhaka in the first week of July, under the theme, Technological Touch in Jewelry.
BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir announced the International Jewelry Machinery Exhibition (IJME)-2024 as part of efforts to achieve Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Vision-2041. This historic event was revealed during a press conference at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in the capital on Monday.
Key leaders from the Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) and international partners provided details about the upcoming exhibition. Present at the briefing were BAJUS General Secretary Badal Chandra Roy, former president Dilip Kumar Roy, Vice-President Samit Ghosh Apu, Adviser Ruhul Amin Rasel, and KNC Services founder and CEO Kranti Nagvekar.
The exhibition, hosted by BAJUS, will take place at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka from July 4-6. This groundbreaking event aims to enhance the local jewelry industry and explore the global market potential for Bangladeshi ornaments.
Over 30 companies from 10 countries, including India, Italy, Turkey, the UAE, Germany, China, and Thailand, will display their jewelry machinery. BAJUS anticipates that showcasing advanced machinery from various nations will inspire local entrepreneurs to establish new jewelry manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh.
The exhibition will feature six Indian companies: Tisha CNC Engineering Works, Neo Instruments, Solanki Machinery Works, Era Corporation, Quantum Equipment, and Accjet Solutions. Additionally, three Italian companies (JTE, Fasti & Omper), three Turkish companies (Otek, Ortek, and Guvenis Jewelry Mold & Machine), Fischer from Germany, and Do IT Industries from China will participate.
Five Bangladeshi organizations will also exhibit: Dreams Instrument Technology, Bangladesh Scientific Instrument Company, Expert Instruments, Trust, and Rarts BD.
Organizers hope the event will foster industry development and open export opportunities, helping to revive the country’s traditional gold industry.
