SEZ of India imports fewer C&P diamonds in January

diamond jewelAccording to the available figures, India’s gross export of Cut & Polished (C&P) diamonds halted at US$ 1015.98 million (Rs. 8765.34 crores) in month of January 2025 is showing a decline of 12.48% (-9.14% in Rs. Term) as compared to US$ 1160.79 million (Rs. 9647.24 crores) for the same period of previous year.

India’s overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds totalled at US$ 54.0 million (Rs. 465.44 crores) in month of January 2025 is showing a decline of 67.04% (-65.84% in Rs. term) as compared to US$ 163.87 million (Rs. 1362.57 crores) for the same period of previous year.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in DTA registered to US$ 17.38 million (Rs. 149.87 crores) is showing a Growth of -57.9(-56.36% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 41.29(Rs 343.39 crores) for the same period of previous year of January 2025.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in SEZ reached at US$ 36.62 million (Rs. 315.57 crores) is showing a Decline of -70.12(-69.04% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 122.58(Rs 1019.19 crores) for the same period of previous year to January 2025.

Looking at the April 2024 to January 2025; 10 months performance, India’s overall gross Exports of Cut & Polished diamonds remained at US$ 10772.84 million (Rs. 90548.36 crores) is showing a decline of 17.73% (-16.39% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 13094.16 million (Rs. 108292.60 crores) for the same period of previous year.

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds registered to US$ 1039.53 million (Rs. 8730.04 crores) is showing a decline of 37.35% (-36.52% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 1659.23 million (Rs. 13753.42 crores) for the same period of previous year of April 2024 to January 2025.

The overall gross Imports of India’s Cut & Polished diamonds for the period of April 2025 to January 2025 in DTA at US$ 334.3 million (Rs. 2808.18 crores) is showing a Decline of -7.18 (-5.79% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 360.16(Rs 2980.63crores) for the same period of April 2023 to January 2024

The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in SEZ at US$ 705.23 million (Rs. 5921.85 crores) is showing a Decline of -45.71(-45.03% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 1299.07(Rs 10772.79 crores) for the same period of April 2023 to January 2024.
