The board of Botswana Diamonds plc (BOD) is pleased to announce that its Prospecting Licenses 224/2007 and 169/2019 have been renewed for two years until 31st December 2026 by the Minister of Minerals and Energy in Botswana. These licenses include the KX36 discovery, as well as several high-grade geophysical anomalies where authorisation has been granted for drilling.
KX36 is a 3.5 Ha kimberlite pipe with an indicated resource of 17.9Mt of 35 carats per hundred tonnes (cpht) and 6.7Mt at 36 cpht (inferred) at $65/ct. The new kimberlites targets have potential to upgrade this resource.
