The Jaipur Study Tour offered 40 students of J K Diamonds Institute a focused, hands- on exposure to India’s vibrant gems and jewelry ecosystem. Over five enriching days, they explored craftsmanship, technology, trade, and markets—bridging classroom learning with real-world industry experience.
Day 1: Gemstone Carving Excellence – Amrit Creations
The tour began at Amrit Creations, where students witnessed master artisans transform rough stones into finely carved gemstones. This visit highlighted the precision, creativity, and patience required in gemstone carving, helping students appreciate the true value of skilled craftsmanship.
Day 2: Industry, Innovation & Heritage – Sitapura Industrial Area
At Jaipur’s industrial hub, students explored the complete manufacturing ecosystem:
* Amrapali CAD-CAM Factory – Understanding how modern design and advanced technology are shaping future jewelry trends.
* Guru Kripa Design Studio – Experiencing the making of traditional Polki and Jadau jewelry, known for elaborate designs and uncut diamonds.
* RMC Gem Cutting Factory – Observing the precise processes of faceting and polishing that turn raw stones into brilliant gems
The day concluded with a cultural immersion at Chokhi Dhani, offering a glimpse into Rajasthan’s rich heritage.
Day 3: Global Exposure – JJS Exhibition & JK Alumni Meet
Students attended the JJS Exhibition, one of India’s leading gem and jewelry trade
shows. They explored diverse art forms such as meenakari art, Thewa art, gemstone
carving, along with innovative designs and advanced manufacturing technologies.A key highlight was networking with exhibitors, traders, and global industry professionals.
The evening featured the JK Alumni Meet, followed by certificate distribution and an insightful panel discussion hosted by Mr. Jaynil Ajmera. The session brought together industry stalwarts Mr. Sanjay Kala—Managing Director of Kinu Baba Gems (India)
Private Limited, Director at Kinu Baba Jewellery (India) Private Limited, former President of the Jewellers Association, Jaipur, and associated with several other industry entities—and Mr. Nirmal Kumar Bardiya, the visionary Founder and Chairman of RMC Gems India Limited, a leading name in the processing and export of precious and semi- precious gemstones from Jaipur. Students actively engaged in the discussion, gaining clarity on key industry-related questions and real-world insights
Day 4: Emerald Trading Hub – Nawab Ka Chouraha
Students explored Jaipur’s renowned Emerald Market, gaining real-time insights into gemstone trading, quality evaluation, and market negotiations in a global trading environment.
Day 5: Heritage Markets – Johari Bazaar
The tour concluded at Johari Bazaar, the historic heart of Jaipur’s jewelry trade. Students experienced the market up close—observing pricing strategies, regional design influences, consumer behavior, and real-time trade dynamics while immersing themselves in the local culture.
The buying experience was especially enriching, with students actively bargaining, evaluating stones, and making informed decisions under the expert guidance of Mr. Jaynil Ajmera. Several students went on to purchase colored gemstones aligned with their business requirements, while others selected stones with plans to design exclusive jewelry pieces around them—turning learning into real-world deals and creative opportunities
