The International Diamond Laboratory (IDL), Dubai, a provider of jewellery grading and reporting services, announced that founder and owner, Mr. Peter Meeus, has transitioned ownership to Mr. Shaunak Shastree and Mr. Francesco Natale, effective immediately.
Meeus, who has been involved with IDL Dubai since its inception in 2006, expressed his satisfaction in passing the leadership to Shastree and Natale, citing their extensive experience and passion for the industry. He stated, “I am happy to pass the baton to Shaunak and Francesco, who both with their extensive experience and passion for the industry, will successfully steer IDL into an even brighter future.”
Shastree and Natale bring over 35 years of experience each to IDL Dubai. Natale has served as the Chief Gemmologist and Lab Director at IDL for the past 16 years, while Shastree has held senior leadership positions with prominent organisations in the precious jewels industry. Both are highly respected professionals with a deep understanding of the industry and a shared vision for the future of jewellery research and reporting.
The new owners have pledged a seamless transition for clients and partners. IDL Dubai will continue operations from its current location in The Gold & Diamond Park, Dubai, maintaining its full range of services without interruption. The company will retain its dedication to quality and service while focusing on technological advancements, knowledge leadership, and maintaining public trust.
