866860960 Untitled design 3GJEPC successfully hosted the Curtain Raiser event for the Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX) 2025 at The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah on 6th July. The evening brought together key dignitaries and trade leaders, marking the formal launch of the much-anticipated exposition.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Guest Mr. Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India in Jeddah. Also in attendance were Mr. Sheikh Ali Batarfi Al Kindi, President of the Jeddah Jewellery Association, and Mr. Engineer Raed Ibrahim Almudaiheem, First Vice Chairman, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, along with prominent members of Saudi Arabia’s jewellery trade.

Leading the Indian delegation were senior GJEPC representatives including Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman; Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Events; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, who interacted with Saudi stakeholders and outlined the vision behind SAJEX.

A second curtain-raiser is set to take place in Riyadh on 8th July, aimed at extending outreach to key stakeholders across the Kingdom.

SAJEX 2025, scheduled from 11th to 13th September at the Jeddah Superdome, is envisioned as a premier B2B platform connecting India’s world-class jewellery manufacturers with leading Saudi retailers and buyers.

Speaking at the event, GJEPC Chairman Mr. Kirit Bhansali said, “SAJEX marks a strategic step forward in our mission to strengthen India–Saudi ties in the gem and jewellery sector. Saudi Arabia’s jewellery market is projected to grow from USD 4.56 billion in 2024 to USD 8.34 billion by 2030, driven by a young, high-spending demographic and a growing appetite for both traditional and modern designs. Our goal is to build on this momentum and collaborate closely with Saudi partners to position the Kingdom as a future hub for jewellery trade in the region and beyond. This is not just an exhibition — it’s the beginning of a long-term partnership built on trust, opportunity, and shared growth.”

The Jeddah event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Saudi retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers, who engaged with GJEPC delegates and Indian exhibitors. With robust support from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (India), the Embassy of India in Riyadh, the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, and the Saudi Jewellery Commission, SAJEX 2025 is poised to become a landmark event in the Middle East’s gem and jewellery calendar.
