This ring design was inspired by a recurring dream of the film Tron (1982) in which The Grid is depicted as a fast-moving light show. Green tsavorites, and blue, yellow, orange and pink sapphires represent the five members of her family.
The customer wanted the black opal to be the focal point of the piece. The metal surrounding the opal is highly polished and it follows the amorphic shape of the stone. To enhance the colour of the opal tiny diamonds are set on the edge. “Whether repurposing jewellery or creating a piece from scratch, I love the process of working one-on-one.
