The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) or GIT, in collaboration with the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Chanthaburi Province, the Chanthaburi Gem & Jewelry Traders Association and a broad network of public and private partners including, Chanthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, Chanthaburi Municipality, Chanthaburi Chamber of Commerce, Chanthaburi Industry Council, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Chanthaburi), Chanthaburi Tourism Promotion Association, KP Jewelry Center and the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), will organize the “International Chanthaburi Gems & Jewelry Festival 2025” for the sixth consecutive year under the theme “Chanthaburi – City of Gems” from 5–10 December 2025 at the Chanthaburi Gems and Jewelry Center, the KP Jewelry Center and the Gem Market on Sri Chan Road, Chanthaburi.
Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director General of GIT, said “International Chanthaburi Gems & Jewelry Festival is an annual major event driving the gem and jewelry industry of Chanthaburi Province. Last year (2024) the festival drew over 10,000 visitors, with more than 10% from overseas. The two countries with the highest participation were the People’s Republic of China and India, and trading value during the show exceeded 100 million THB. This success underscores our mission to enhance Thai industry trade opportunities, stimulate the local economy and strengthen Chanthaburi’s position as a world’s city of gem — not only as a production center but also as a full-scale trade and investment hub for the gem and jewelry industry.”
The 2025 festival offers a key platform for manufacturers, exporters, designers, importers, skill-craftsmen and lapidaries to exchange knowledge, to connect with Thai and foreign high-potential buyers. Visitors will experience a wide array of gem and jewelry merchandise, including rough gemstones, cut-and-polished stones, jewelry and machinery and equipment from over 300 exhibitors.
The show also features major highlights: exhibitions showcasing Thai gem & jewellery craftsmanship and design expertise, including the 19th GIT’s World Jewelry Design Awards 2025, the “Gems Treasure” jewelry exhibition and a display by Chanthaburi company operators. In addition, seminars will build the capacity of gem and jewelry business in areas such as marketing, e-commerce and design, alongside hands-on workshops conducted by universities and other institutions, and a fun “Mystery Gem Box” draw from Chanthaburi.
