Jaipur, Rajasthan : Jaipur, widely known as the hub of coloured gemstones, hosted the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) 2025, one of the largest and most important jewellery exhibitions in India. The show brings together the entire jewellery ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers, designers, buyers, and consumers, making it a key platform for industry interaction and learning.
At JJS 2025, the Gem and Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) participated with the objective of creating awareness about PRECIOUS, a 60-minute in-store masterclass designed especially for retail jewellers. The initiative focuses on strengthening retail skills and improving in-store practices through short, practical learning sessions.
The introductory PRECIOUS seminar was conducted on 21st December 2025 and was organised by GJSCI in association with its knowledge partner Ygroo. The session was inaugurated by Mr. Rajiv Jain, Hon. Secretary of JJS, along with Mr. Himanshu Singh, Managing Partner, Ygroo, marking the formal launch of the awareness session at the show.
The session was also graced by the presence of Dr. Nawal Kishore Agarwal, Director of the Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) and Chairman of the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ), Jaipur, whose presence added value and encouragement to the initiative.
During the seminar, Mr. Himanshu Singh delivered a concise 7-minute presentation explaining the concept of PRECIOUS, its structure, and how the masterclass can help retail jewellers enhance customer interaction, product knowledge, and overall store experience.
Through its participation at JJS 2025, GJSCI aimed to engage directly with the jewellery retail community and highlight the importance of continuous skill development at the store level, supporting the long-term growth of the gems and jewellery industry.
