According to the available fact-n-figures of GJEPC, the overall gross exports of Gems & Jewellery ( GJ) at US$ 2748.01 million (Rs. 22873.190 crores) in the month of October 2023 is showing a decline of 12.34% (-11.49% in Rs. term) as compared to US$ 3134.85 million (Rs. 25843.84 crores) for the same period previous year.
The overall gross imports of Gems & Jewellery at US$ 1723.27 million (Rs. 14342.01 crores) in month of OCT 2023 is showing a growth of 17.81% (19.24% in Rs. term) as compared to US$ 1462.76 million (Rs. 12027.95 crores) for the same period previous year.
At the Cut & Polished Diamonds front, the overall gross export of Cut & Polished diamonds at US$ 1260.91 million (Rs. 10495.06 crores) in month of October 2023 is showing a decline of 33.33%(-32.70% in Rs. Term) as compared to US$ 1891.2 million (Rs. 15594.49 crores) for the same period of previous year.
The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds at US$ 196.5 million (Rs. 1635.47 crores) in month of October 2023 is showing a growth of 98.07% (100.1% in Rs. term) as compared to US$ 99.21 million (Rs. 817.34 crores) for the same period of previous year.
The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in DTA at US$ 40.75 million (Rs. 339.17 crores) is showing a Growth of 23.0(24.25% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 33.13(Rs 272.97 crores) for the same period of October 2023.
The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in SEZ at US$ 155.76 million (Rs. 1296.3 crores) is showing a Growth of 135.7(138.13% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 66.08(Rs 544.37 crores) for the same period of October 2023.
Polished Lab Grown Diamonds basket’s show, the provisional gross export of Polished Lab Grown Diamonds for the period October 2023 at US$ 136.38 million (in Rs. 1135.16 crores) shows decline of 23.69% (-23.01% in Rs. term) over the comparative figure of US$ 178.73 million (Rs. 1474.38 crores) for previous year.
