The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), the leading standards and assurance organisation for the global jewellery and watch industry, is pleased to announce the results of its recent elections for the 2025 Board of Directors.
The election saw a diverse group of experienced and passionate individuals elected to represent their respective member forums, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the RJC’s leadership.
Dave Meleski RJC Chairman, said, “We are thrilled to welcome our new and returning Board members. Their collective experience across the entire jewellery and watch value chain will be invaluable as we continue to drive positive change and uphold the highest standards of integrity and sustainability within our industry. This diverse representation ensures that the RJC remains responsive to the needs and challenges of all our members.”
The following nominees were elected to represent their respective member forums on the RJC Board of Directors;
1: Diamond, Gold, Gemstones and/or Platinum-Group Metals Producer Forum: Purvi Shah from De Beers Group was re-elected. Antonio Samaniego from Minera Chalhuane was elected.
2: Diamonds and Gemstones Trader/Cutter/Polisher Forum: Aagam Sanghavi from Accur8 Diamonds was elected.
3: Precious Metals Traders, Refiners and Hedgers Forum: Alice Vanni from Italpreziosi was elected.
4: Jewellery and Watch Manufacturer/Wholesaler Forum: Leo Daguet from LVMH was elected.
5: Jewellery & Watch Retailer Forum: Marianne Zani from Chanel was elected.
6: Service Industries Forum: Didier Backaert from Bonas was elected.
7: Trade Association Forum: Gaetano Cavalieri from CIBJO was re-elected & 8: Elected as a RJC Board Director Jean-Pierre Jacquemin from Richmont.
