Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille, our newest high jewelry collection is a surreal journey from the figurative to the abstract inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s legendary aquatic designs.
Timeless Treasures, Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder dives into the depths of the ocean, where the boundless variety of flora and fauna transforms into an ethereal world of wonder. With an evocative color palette that mirrors the iridescent shimmer of underwater light and the bioluminescent dances of oceanic creatures, the collection reimagines the beauty of the deep through Verdeille’s creative lens.
Here is Sea of Wonder, Urchin! The Urchin chapter strikes a harmonious balance between naturalistic and surrealistic elements. Urchin designs showcase incredible Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds set in loops of 18k yellow gold “rope.” One impressive necklace features a Fancy Intense Yellow diamond of over 18 carats accented by yellow and white diamonds.
Nature’s Textures, this chapter is inspired by the iconic motifs of Jean Schlumberger, one of the 20th century’s most gifted artists, including his twisted gold “rope” and textile-inspired themes. This detail is featured in both his iconic 1961 sea urchin-inspired table clock (left) and throughout the new Urchin designs.
By the Numbers! Artisans crafted the Urchin ring over a span of approximately 200 hours, setting the 18k yellow gold and platinum design with a Fancy Intense Yellow diamond of over 12 carats and 14 white diamonds.
