Krombholz Jewelers focus on antique jewelry

Jul 01, 2024

Krombholz Jewelers, a Cincinnati institution for 84 years, will soon transform from a one-stop shop selling all categories of jewelry to a store focused on antique, estate, and vintage jewelry exclusively.

The pivot, announced recently by company president Heather Krombholz, came in response to growing customer demand. Long known for its fine and custom jewelry, Krombholz Jewelers began offering vintage, estate, and antique pieces 40 years ago, and purchases in those areas have climbed steadily over the years.

“Many of our customers have enjoyed our expansion into these categories, which offer unique, well-crafted jewelry at better prices than modern jewelry,” said CEO Lee Krombholz. “Those customers have encouraged us to move further in this direction, and we are excited to focus all of our energy on this category.”

One of those customers, Lorraine Gibbs, noted, “As a customer of Krombholz Jewelers for the last 31 years, I have learned a lot about antique and estate jewelry from them. Their knowledge of antique, vintage, and estate jewelry has helped guide me in my purchases through the years. As such, I highly recommend them to any fellow jewelry-lovers.”

The shift will take place over the next several months, with the full transformation completed by September 1st, 2024. Founded in 1940, Krombholz Jewelers is one of Cincinnati’s oldest jewelry businesses, run continuously by the Krombholz family over the course of four generations.
