Edward Asscher has been re-elected as Vice Chair of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), securing a second term in the leadership role.
In a message thanking members for their support, Asscher said the vote of confidence would inspire him to “lead with purpose” and continue advancing responsible business practices across the jewellery industry.
He reiterated his commitment to key industry values including integrity, transparency, responsibility and collaboration, while emphasising the importance of traceability, accountability and sustainable sourcing.
“It is an honour to serve this remarkable industry,” Asscher said, thanking RJC members for their trust and support.
Asscher had campaigned on improving member services, simplifying audits, strengthening SME representation within the organisation, and supporting ongoing efforts to streamline RJC operations.
