Sarine Technologies Ltd has announced that Chief Executive Officer David Block will step down on 30 June 2026, concluding a nine-year tenure leading the diamond technology firm.
Block, who has spent close to 25 years with the company, oversaw a period marked by the rollout of advanced technologies spanning automated rough diamond planning, traceability, and AI-driven grading systems.
During his tenure, Sarine introduced its Most Valuable Plan (MVP) system for automated planning and expanded its traceability capabilities through the Sarine Diamond Journey™, developed in collaboration with De Beers’ Tracr platform. The company also strengthened its position in grading through the integration of GCAL and the deployment of AI-based clarity and colour grading solutions.
Block’s earlier role in India between 2006 and 2009 helped establish operational infrastructure that continues to underpin Sarine’s global activities and relationships with leading manufacturers.
