Charlotte Rose the first woman president of London Diamond Bourse

Jun 29, 2026

850566940 Bourse 1The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) has elected Charlotte Rose as its new President, making her the first woman in the organisation’s 86-year history to hold the position. She is also believed to be the first woman to serve as President of any diamond bourse worldwide.

The appointment was announced following the London Diamond Bourse’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 25 June 2026, during which members elected a new Council of Management.

Charlotte Rose succeeds David Troostwyk, who served as President for two and a half years and will now continue as Vice President. Wolf Rabstein has joined the Council as Treasurer, while Paul Koppelman has been re-elected as Executive Officer.

Commenting on her appointment, Rose said, “I am honoured that the Council of Management has entrusted me with the role of President. I am conscious, too, of what this particular election represents. The London Diamond Bourse has been trading since 1940, and I am the first woman to lead it. I would rather that fact was unremarkable, and one day it will be. For now, I take it as a sign that this is an industry capable of change, and that our members are ready for it.”

Following the AGM, the newly elected Council convened to appoint office bearers. The Council comprises President Charlotte Rose, Vice President David Troostwyk, Treasurer Wolf Rabstein, Executive Officer Paul Koppelman, along with Members Lewis Malka, Howard Levine, Kathy Chappell, Anna Rogers and Shadi Jin-Ziabee.

Established in 1940, the London Diamond Bourse is the United Kingdom’s principal diamond trading bourse and a member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB). It provides a secure and regulated marketplace for the trade in diamonds and other precious stones.
