The Antwerp diamond industry presented an exclusive ring set with 321 natural diamonds to U.S. President Donald Trump to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence. The presentation took place during the anniversary celebrations at Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels on 29 June.
Designed and crafted by Antwerp jeweller David Gotlib and certified by HRD Antwerp, the bespoke ring draws inspiration from the iconic Super Bowl championship rings. Made in 18-karat gold, it features 321 natural diamonds and 75 coloured gemstones, incorporating subtle references to America’s 250-year milestone. The ring was received on behalf of President Trump by U.S. Ambassador Bill White, while the President conveyed his appreciation through a pre-recorded video message.
“The United States has been our most important trading partner for generations,” said Isidore Mörsel, Chairman of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). He noted that a significant share of natural diamonds traded in Antwerp ultimately reaches American jewellers and consumers, making the gift a symbol of the longstanding economic relationship between the two markets.
