IIG Announces Strategic Partnership with Polygon to Strengthen Global Trade Access and Industry-Connected Learning

Polygon web image.jpgThe International Institute of Gemology (IIG), one of India’s leading education institutes for gems and jewellery, has announced a strategic partnership with Polygon, the vetted B2B trade network connecting gem and jewellery professionals across North America since 1984. The collaboration is designed to open new cross-market opportunities for IIG’s students, alumni, and manufacturer partners, connecting India’s gemological community with an established international trading network.

In an increasingly global and competitive industry, access matters as much as education. For students and emerging professionals, exposure to real industry platforms, international networks, and the people who actively move the trade can meaningfully shape their confidence, perspective, and career direction. This partnership reflects IIG’s student-first philosophy: ensuring learners are connected not only to knowledge, but to the wider professional world their careers will unfold in.

Through this collaboration, IIG’s active students and alumni will receive an exclusive introductory rate on Polygon membership, giving them direct access to a professional, commission-free B2B network of vetted retailers, dealers, and wholesalers across North America. The two organizations will also co-develop industry content, such as market insights, sourcing guides, or webinars, for distribution across both platforms, giving IIG’s community practical exposure to current business and manufacturing practices in the global trade.

The partnership also creates a channel for India’s manufacturers and suppliers. As part of the alliance, IIG will introduce qualified Indian manufacturers to Polygon for onboarding and partnership conversations, helping Indian businesses build visibility and relationships in the North American market.

IIG will be recognized at Polygon-affiliated trade events, and Rahul Desai has been invited to participate as a panelist or moderator at upcoming Polygon events and webinars,  creating direct dialogue between IIG’s network and international trade.
