Dassani Brothers unveils the Aagam collection, a new Polki capsule inspired by the Elephant Motif
The Aagam collection brings together uncut Polki, vivid colourstones and one of India’s most enduring symbols in a bold new design story
Dassani Brothers is bringing one of India’s most recognisable symbols into a new world of Polki. This festive season, the jewellery house unveils the Aagam collection – a vibrant new capsule where the elephant motif is reimagined through uncut diamonds, carved emeralds, pearls and unexpected bursts of colour.
Timed with the celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Aagam collection draws from the symbolism associated with wisdom, strength, protection and good fortune, but takes a decidedly more expressive route in its interpretation. Crafted in 14kt gold, the collection moves between the dramatic and the delicate – from statement-making necklaces and sculptural brooches to rings and charms designed to be worn every day.
At the heart of the capsule is The Elephant Guard Necklace Set. A dramatic multi-strand pearl necklace is anchored by a crescent-shaped pendant, crowned with two uncut Polki diamond figures in profile. Rubies, a striking emerald centre and cascading emerald drops bring colour and movement to the piece, creating a composition that feels celebratory, intricate and unmistakably festive.
Then comes The Carved Emerald Elephant Brooch, where the motif takes on a more collectible form. Carved emerald work meets tanzanites, diamonds and uncut Polki in a piece that is rich in detail without feeling overworked, a small object of jewellery with plenty to discover on closer look.
With The Trunk Coil Ring, the Aagam collection takes its most abstract turn. A sweeping tanzanite coil curves around a ruby centre, framed by uncut Polki diamonds. The reference is subtle, borrowing from the fluid movement and distinctive form of a trunk rather than reproducing the motif literally.
And then there is The Elephant Charm Bracelet, perhaps the collection’s most playful piece. Delicate and designed for everyday wear, the gold bracelet features a blue enamel charm alongside a ruby-set hamsa, finished with Polki detailing. It brings the larger story of the Aagam collection into a much more personal, intimate scale.
“The elephant has always carried a beautiful sense of meaning- wisdom, strength, protection and good fortune. With the Aagam collection, we wanted to take that symbolism and interpret it in a way that felt distinctly Dassani Brothers. We have played with colour, scale and form across the collection, allowing every piece to have its own personality from a dramatic necklace to something as personal as a charm bracelet while remaining rooted in the craftsmanship and heritage that define our house,” says Amit Dassani, Partner, Dassani Brothers.
With the Aagam collection, Dassani Brothers takes a motif that has lived for centuries in India’s visual and cultural imagination and gives it a fresh jewellery vocabulary. Rich in colour, symbolism and craft, the Aagam collection is not simply designed for the festive moment — it is a collection that invites the wearer to carry a little of that meaning long after the celebrations are over.
