Upon releasing the Gem & Jewellery Export figures of India for the period of December 2023, here is the Cut & Polished (C&P) Diamonds exports for the December 2023. The overall gross export of Cut & Polished diamonds at US$ 862.48 million (Rs. 7182.53 crores) in month of December 2023 is showing a decline of 32.11%(-31.420% in Rs. Term) as compared to US$ 1270.36 million (Rs. 10472.93 crores) for the same period of previous year.
The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds at US$ 254.18 million (Rs. 2116.49 crores) in month of December 2023 is showing a growth of 148.47% (150.58% in Rs. term) as compared to US$ 102.3 million (Rs. 844.64 crores) for the same period of previous year.
The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in DTA at US$ 49.46 million (Rs. 411.86 crores) is showing a Growth of 23.44(24.64% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 40.07(Rs 330.43 crores) for the same period of December 2023.
The overall gross Imports of Cut & Polished diamonds in SEZ at US$ 204.72 million (Rs. 1704.63 crores) is showing a Growth of 228.96(231.5% Rs. term) as compared to US$ 62.23(Rs 514.21 crores) for the same period of December 2023
At the Lab Grown Diamonds (LGDs) December 2023 front, provisional gross export of Polished Lab Grown Diamonds for the period Dec 2023 at US$ 83.51 million (in Rs. 695.48 crores) shows decline of -18.46% (-17.61% in Rs. term) over the comparative figure of US$ 102.41 million (Rs. 844.09 crores) for previous year.
